Switchgear buyers in Los Angeles

If you have switchgear to sell in Los Angeles, the fastest path to a real number is a make, model and quantity list. We price against the working secondary market for this equipment class, subtract our own removal cost openly, and send a written itemized offer the same business day.

Silicon Valley and the Santa Clara power district hold the densest concentration of enterprise and hyperscale white space in North America, and California's Title 24 and CARB requirements shape how generators and refrigerant-bearing equipment must be handled at removal. In practical terms, Los Angeles projects benefit from that density: we already run crews through Santa Clara, San Jose, Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Diego, so mobilization is a scheduling question rather than a cost problem.

02

What we buy: Switchgear

Lineups and sections

We buy low-voltage switchboards and switchgear from 480 V through medium-voltage metal-clad and metal-enclosed lineups to 38 kV. Drawout breaker cubicles, tie sections, main sections, and the relays and metering that go with them. A complete lineup with matching sections prices materially better than the same gear cut apart.

Transfer switches

Automatic and manual transfer switches, bypass isolation switches and closed-transition gear are consistently in demand from generator integrators. Amperage, transition type and controller generation drive the number. These are worth pulling carefully rather than torching.

Loose breakers and spares

Drawout air circuit breakers, molded case breakers, vacuum breakers and your spares shelf all get bought. Facilities routinely hold a cabinet of spare breakers matched to a lineup being retired — that shelf often carries more value than the seller expects.

03

How a project runs

If the Los Angeles room is still carrying load, we phase it. Typically that means IT and racks first, then distribution, then the power and cooling plant once the last circuit is dead. We write the phasing into the offer so nobody is improvising in the hall at 2am.

04

How the offer is built

In some cases the equipment value exceeds our removal cost and you receive a payment; in others, on older or heavily stripped rooms, the removal cost exceeds the value and the project nets toward zero or a modest fee. We tell you which one you are looking at up front for your Los Angeles site rather than discovering it halfway through demolition.

05

What you are actually buying from us

01

We do the decommissioning

Our crews rack out the hardware, de-energize and pull the electrical distribution, recover refrigerant, drain glycol, cut and cap piping, and break down containment and cabinets. You are not hiring a broker who then hires a rigger who then hires a hauler. One company, one point of contact, one insurance certificate.

02

We do the loading

Rigging, lift and crane work, dock plates, pallets, stretch wrap, load bars, straps and the trucks themselves are ours. Overhead busway comes down on lifts. Generators and chillers go out on cranes. Servers leave palletized and manifested. Nothing about the load-out becomes your problem.

03

Payment before the truck leaves

You are paid in full before equipment leaves your dock — wire, company check or cashier's check, your choice. No consignment, no percentage of eventual resale, no invoice you have to chase. The racks stay where they are until the money has landed.

04

Drive destruction, documented

Every data-bearing device is degaussed and physically destroyed, on your floor if you prefer. You receive a certificate of destruction listing serial numbers and a chain-of-custody record signed at each handoff, formatted so your audit team can reconcile it against your asset register.

05

The room is left clean

Floor tiles reset, penetrations patched, abandoned cable removed, debris hauled, and the space swept. Where a landlord or lease requires a specific restoration standard, we work to it and document the result with photographs before and after.

06

Written offers that hold

Quotes are written, itemized by category, and hold for thirty days. If your process needs a formal bid document, a W-9, a certificate of insurance naming your entity, or a purchase order reference on the offer, say so and it is on the paperwork.

PDUs — Los Angeles

Floor-mount PDUs with integral transformers, remote power panels, and metered or switched rack PDUs by the pallet — we buy all three tiers of distribution.

50 kVA – 1000 kVA floor units
Overhead track, tap boxes, elbows
