Electrical Switchgear Buyers serving South Apopka

South Apopka facility and construction teams call us when equipment is coming out and nobody wants to coordinate an electrician, a rigger and a hauler around one outage window. We are all three, and we pay you for the equipment on top of it rather than charging you to haul it away.

Our Florida routing runs along I-95, I-75, I-4 and the Turnpike, which keeps crew and trailer cost predictable for South Apopka projects. Coordination with FPL, Duke Energy Florida, TECO, JEA for de-energization, metering and disconnect approvals is part of the scope, not a change order.

What we buy

Low voltage switchgear and switchboards

480V and 600V class switchgear and switchboards, drawout and fixed-mount, with main and feeder breakers in place. Individual insulated-case and molded-case breakers are worth quoting on their own — spare breakers for common frames stay in steady demand and often carry more value per pound than the enclosure they came out of.

Medium voltage and metal-clad

5kV, 15kV, 27kV and 38kV class metal-clad and metal-enclosed gear, vacuum and SF6 breakers, load interrupter switches, and the protective relays and CT/PT compartments that go with them. Modern microprocessor relays are separately valuable and we itemize them.

Transfer switches, MCCs and paralleling gear

Automatic and manual transfer switches from 100A through 4000A, closed-transition and bypass-isolation models, motor control centers with buckets in place, and generator paralleling switchgear with its controls. Paralleling gear from a data center genset plant is one of the higher-value line items in a typical electrical room.

03

How a project runs

Documentation travels with the job: certificate of insurance naming your entity, W-9, a signed purchase agreement itemizing each asset and its price, PCB or oil manifests where applicable, and weight tickets or a bill of lading for what leaves the South Apopka site.

Switchgear value concentrates in the breakers, the relays and the bus, not the sheet metal. A lineup with all of its drawout breakers present is worth far more than the same lineup with the cubicles emptied, so it is worth asking us before anyone starts pulling parts for spares.

04

Manufacturers

Most common in this market: Square D, Eaton/Cutler-Hammer, GE, Siemens, ABB, ASCO, Russelectric, Zenith, Powell, Allen-Bradley. Unusual brands are still purchased — they simply price against a thinner buyer pool.

05

What you are actually buying from us

01

We do the decommissioning

Our crews rack out the hardware, de-energize and pull the electrical distribution, recover refrigerant, drain glycol, cut and cap piping, and break down containment and cabinets. You are not hiring a broker who then hires a rigger who then hires a hauler. One company, one point of contact, one insurance certificate.

02

We do the loading

Rigging, lift and crane work, dock plates, pallets, stretch wrap, load bars, straps and the trucks themselves are ours. Overhead busway comes down on lifts. Generators and chillers go out on cranes. Servers leave palletized and manifested. Nothing about the load-out becomes your problem.

03

Payment before the truck leaves

You are paid in full before equipment leaves your dock — wire, company check or cashier's check, your choice. No consignment, no percentage of eventual resale, no invoice you have to chase. The racks stay where they are until the money has landed.

04

Drive destruction, documented

Every data-bearing device is degaussed and physically destroyed, on your floor if you prefer. You receive a certificate of destruction listing serial numbers and a chain-of-custody record signed at each handoff, formatted so your audit team can reconcile it against your asset register.

05

The room is left clean

Floor tiles reset, penetrations patched, abandoned cable removed, debris hauled, and the space swept. Where a landlord or lease requires a specific restoration standard, we work to it and document the result with photographs before and after.

06

Written offers that hold

Quotes are written, itemized by category, and hold for thirty days. If your process needs a formal bid document, a W-9, a certificate of insurance naming your entity, or a purchase order reference on the offer, say so and it is on the paperwork.

Also buying in South Apopka

If this equipment is coming out as part of a wider project, we buy the rest of the room too — IT, power and cooling:

Three-phase, modular and monolithic

UPS Systems

We buy three-phase uninterruptible power supplies out of live and decommissioned white space: modular frames, monolithic units, matching battery cabinets and the static switches that go with them.

10 kVA – 2.5 MVA modules
Floor-mount, RPP and rack PDUs

PDUs

Floor-mount PDUs with integral transformers, remote power panels, and metered or switched rack PDUs by the pallet — we buy all three tiers of distribution.

50 kVA – 1000 kVA floor units
Overhead track, tap boxes, elbows

Busway

Overhead busway is the most reusable thing in a white space and the most commonly thrown away. We buy full runs, tap-off boxes, elbows and end feeds.

225 A – 5000 A runs
LV and MV, ATS, breakers

Switchgear

Low-voltage lineups, medium-voltage metal-clad gear, automatic transfer switches and loose breakers — bought as complete lineups or section by section.

480 V – 38 kV lineups
Diesel and gas, enclosed or open

Generators

Standby diesel and natural gas generator sets, sub-base and belly tanks, paralleling gear and radiator packages — running or not.

100 kW – 3 MW standby sets
Air-cooled, water-cooled, CRAH/CRAC

Chillers

Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, CRAC and CRAH units, pumps and dry coolers — the whole mechanical plant.

50 – 2000 ton capacity
Compute, storage, network, GPU

Servers

Rackmount compute, storage arrays, network gear and GPU nodes — bought by the rack or by the hall, with documented data destruction.

Single racks – full halls

Data Center Infrastructure

Cabinets, containment, cable tray, raised floor, fiber and copper plant — the structure everything else was mounted in.

Frequently asked questions

Do you buy individual breakers or only complete lineups?
Both. Spare insulated-case and molded-case breakers for common frames sell readily on their own, and drawout breakers pulled from a retired lineup are frequently the most valuable thing in the room. Send frame types, amperage and trip unit details.
Is medium voltage gear worth removing?
Usually yes, particularly 15kV class metal-clad gear with vacuum breakers and modern relays. Older air-magnetic gear leans toward material recovery, and we will tell you which category yours is in before you commit.
Can you work around an energized bus?
We prefer not to, and we will not put crews in an arc-flash situation that is avoidable. Standard practice is a coordinated outage: your electrician or the utility de-energizes and provides lockout, we verify absence of voltage, then we work. Where a partial outage is all that is possible, we phase the removal.
Do you take the protective relays and metering?
Yes, and we itemize them separately because they are worth real money. Microprocessor relays and modern power meters have an active secondary market independent of the gear they were mounted in.
What about the copper bus?
Bus bar is part of the purchase. Where a lineup is not resalable as an assembly, the copper bus and the internal wiring are recovered and credited into your number rather than treated as our upside.
Do you actually come to South Apopka, or do we have to ship it?
We come to you. Our crews mobilize to South Apopka and handle disconnection, rigging, loading and hauling. You are not responsible for crating or freight.
How soon can you look at equipment in South Apopka?
Written offers go out the same business day from photos or a list. Site visits in South Apopka are typically scheduled within a few business days, sooner when we already have a crew moving through Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville.
