Data center equipment buyers in Dallas

Most Dallas facility teams call us at one of two moments: the week a consolidation is approved, or the week a landlord asks what the white-box date is. Either way the question is the same — what is the equipment worth, and who is going to get it out of the building? We answer both in one written offer. We are the buyer, the decommissioning contractor and the hauler, so there is a single number, a single schedule and a single certificate of insurance.

02

What Texas conditions mean for your number

We treat Texas as one service area rather than a list of cities. Crews moving between Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio pass through Dallas regularly, which is why a single UPS or a couple of cabinets is still worth quoting here — we can add it to an existing run instead of pricing a dedicated trip.

What we buy in Dallas

UPS systems — Dallas

UPS Systems

We buy three-phase uninterruptible power supplies out of live and decommissioned white space: modular frames, monolithic units, matching battery cabinets and the static switches that go with them.

10 kVA – 2.5 MVA modules
PDUs — Dallas

PDUs

Floor-mount PDUs with integral transformers, remote power panels, and metered or switched rack PDUs by the pallet — we buy all three tiers of distribution.

50 kVA – 1000 kVA floor units
busway — Dallas

Busway

Overhead busway is the most reusable thing in a white space and the most commonly thrown away. We buy full runs, tap-off boxes, elbows and end feeds.

225 A – 5000 A runs
switchgear — Dallas

Switchgear

Low-voltage lineups, medium-voltage metal-clad gear, automatic transfer switches and loose breakers — bought as complete lineups or section by section.

480 V – 38 kV lineups
generators — Dallas

Generators

Standby diesel and natural gas generator sets, sub-base and belly tanks, paralleling gear and radiator packages — running or not.

100 kW – 3 MW standby sets
chillers — Dallas

Chillers

Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, CRAC and CRAH units, pumps and dry coolers — the whole mechanical plant.

50 – 2000 ton capacity
servers — Dallas

Servers

Rackmount compute, storage arrays, network gear and GPU nodes — bought by the rack or by the hall, with documented data destruction.

Single racks – full halls
data center infrastructure — Dallas

Data Center Infrastructure

Cabinets, containment, cable tray, raised floor, fiber and copper plant — the structure everything else was mounted in.

How a project runs

If the Dallas room is still carrying load, we phase it. Typically that means IT and racks first, then distribution, then the power and cooling plant once the last circuit is dead. We write the phasing into the offer so nobody is improvising in the hall at 2am.

05

How the offer is built

Batteries deserve a specific note. VRLA strings usually carry scrap value we credit back to you; lithium cabinets have different handling and transportation requirements that we account for explicitly. Either way the batteries come out of your Dallas room as part of the scope, properly manifested, not left behind for someone else to deal with.

06

Data security and compliance

Data security is treated as a hard requirement, not a service add-on. Drives in Dallas can be wiped to NIST 800-88 purge standards, degaussed, or physically shredded, on site if your policy requires it. Every serial number is captured and reported. Chain of custody is documented from the rack to the truck to the destruction record.

07

What you are actually buying from us

01

We do the decommissioning

Our crews rack out the hardware, de-energize and pull the electrical distribution, recover refrigerant, drain glycol, cut and cap piping, and break down containment and cabinets. You are not hiring a broker who then hires a rigger who then hires a hauler. One company, one point of contact, one insurance certificate.

02

We do the loading

Rigging, lift and crane work, dock plates, pallets, stretch wrap, load bars, straps and the trucks themselves are ours. Overhead busway comes down on lifts. Generators and chillers go out on cranes. Servers leave palletized and manifested. Nothing about the load-out becomes your problem.

03

Payment before the truck leaves

You are paid in full before equipment leaves your dock — wire, company check or cashier's check, your choice. No consignment, no percentage of eventual resale, no invoice you have to chase. The racks stay where they are until the money has landed.

04

Drive destruction, documented

Every data-bearing device is degaussed and physically destroyed, on your floor if you prefer. You receive a certificate of destruction listing serial numbers and a chain-of-custody record signed at each handoff, formatted so your audit team can reconcile it against your asset register.

05

The room is left clean

Floor tiles reset, penetrations patched, abandoned cable removed, debris hauled, and the space swept. Where a landlord or lease requires a specific restoration standard, we work to it and document the result with photographs before and after.

06

Written offers that hold

Quotes are written, itemized by category, and hold for thirty days. If your process needs a formal bid document, a W-9, a certificate of insurance naming your entity, or a purchase order reference on the offer, say so and it is on the paperwork.

Frequently asked questions

We are on an upper floor with a small freight elevator. Is that a problem?
It is a routine problem. Large UPS frames, transformers and gensets often have to be disassembled to pass elevator weight limits and door widths. Our survey of your Dallas site establishes the rigging path before we commit to a date, and the cost is already inside the offer.
Do you actually buy data center equipment in Dallas, or just broker it?
We buy it. Data Center Equipment Buyer is the purchaser of record — we fund the purchase, we send our own crews to Dallas to decommission and load, and we take title when the equipment leaves your dock. There is no third-party buyer waiting behind us to approve the price.
What is the smallest job you will take in Dallas?
A single UPS, one generator, a few PDUs or a handful of cabinets is worth a call. Because we route crews across Texas continuously, small Dallas pickups can usually be added to an existing run rather than priced as a dedicated trip.
How fast can you get to a Dallas site?
Written offers go out the same business day in almost every case. Once an offer is accepted, typical mobilization to Dallas is a few business days for straightforward removals and one to two weeks for large halls that need phased shutdowns, rigging plans or landlord coordination.
Do you handle the decommissioning, or do we have to shut it down first?
We handle it. Our crews rack out IT, de-energize and remove distribution, recover refrigerant under EPA rules, drain and cap glycol loops, break down containment and cabinets, and sweep the space. If the Dallas room is still live we phase the work so load transfers cleanly.
How do you handle drives and data in Dallas?
Drives are separated and tracked by serial number. You choose NIST 800-88 wiping, degaussing or physical shredding, and shredding can happen on site in Dallas if your policy requires it. You receive a serialized certificate of destruction reconciled against your asset list.
