Data Center Equipment Buyers

We are the buyer, the decommissioning contractor and the hauler. That combination is unusual in this industry and it is the whole point: one written offer, one crew, one certificate of insurance, and payment before the trailer leaves your dock.

What separates a buyer from a broker

Most companies that answer the phone when you search for data center equipment buyers are brokers. A broker takes your asset list, shops it to buyers they know, and quotes you a number shaded to protect a spread they have not yet locked in. When their buyer finally walks the room, the number changes. That is not dishonesty so much as structure — a broker cannot commit capital they do not have.

We are the purchaser of record. We fund the purchase from our own balance sheet, our own crews perform the removal, and we own the resale risk afterwards. The practical consequence for you is that the written offer is the price, and the only thing that changes it is the room not matching the list you sent.

It also means one contract instead of three. On a typical decommissioning a facility team ends up managing an electrician to de-energize, a rigger to move heavy power and cooling equipment, a hauler to get it off site, and separately an ITAD vendor for the drives. Each has its own insurance certificate, its own schedule and its own excuse when the sequence slips. We are all of them.

Everything we buy

Three-phase, modular and monolithic

UPS Systems

We buy three-phase uninterruptible power supplies out of live and decommissioned white space: modular frames, monolithic units, matching battery cabinets and the static switches that go with them.

10 kVA – 2.5 MVA modules
Floor-mount, RPP and rack PDUs

PDUs

Floor-mount PDUs with integral transformers, remote power panels, and metered or switched rack PDUs by the pallet — we buy all three tiers of distribution.

50 kVA – 1000 kVA floor units
Overhead track, tap boxes, elbows

Busway

Overhead busway is the most reusable thing in a white space and the most commonly thrown away. We buy full runs, tap-off boxes, elbows and end feeds.

225 A – 5000 A runs
LV and MV, ATS, breakers

Switchgear

Low-voltage lineups, medium-voltage metal-clad gear, automatic transfer switches and loose breakers — bought as complete lineups or section by section.

480 V – 38 kV lineups
Diesel and gas, enclosed or open

Generators

Standby diesel and natural gas generator sets, sub-base and belly tanks, paralleling gear and radiator packages — running or not.

100 kW – 3 MW standby sets
Air-cooled, water-cooled, CRAH/CRAC

Chillers

Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, CRAC and CRAH units, pumps and dry coolers — the whole mechanical plant.

50 – 2000 ton capacity
Compute, storage, network, GPU

Servers

Rackmount compute, storage arrays, network gear and GPU nodes — bought by the rack or by the hall, with documented data destruction.

Single racks – full halls
Everything the equipment sits in

Data Center Infrastructure

Cabinets, containment, cable tray, raised floor, fiber and copper plant — the structure everything else was mounted in.

Electrical equipment families

Data halls sit inside electrical rooms, and the equipment in those rooms is frequently worth more than the IT it fed. We buy those assets under three dedicated programs:

04

What you are actually buying from us

01

We do the decommissioning

Our crews rack out the hardware, de-energize and pull the electrical distribution, recover refrigerant, drain glycol, cut and cap piping, and break down containment and cabinets. You are not hiring a broker who then hires a rigger who then hires a hauler. One company, one point of contact, one insurance certificate.

02

We do the loading

Rigging, lift and crane work, dock plates, pallets, stretch wrap, load bars, straps and the trucks themselves are ours. Overhead busway comes down on lifts. Generators and chillers go out on cranes. Servers leave palletized and manifested. Nothing about the load-out becomes your problem.

03

Payment before the truck leaves

You are paid in full before equipment leaves your dock — wire, company check or cashier's check, your choice. No consignment, no percentage of eventual resale, no invoice you have to chase. The racks stay where they are until the money has landed.

04

Drive destruction, documented

Every data-bearing device is degaussed and physically destroyed, on your floor if you prefer. You receive a certificate of destruction listing serial numbers and a chain-of-custody record signed at each handoff, formatted so your audit team can reconcile it against your asset register.

05

The room is left clean

Floor tiles reset, penetrations patched, abandoned cable removed, debris hauled, and the space swept. Where a landlord or lease requires a specific restoration standard, we work to it and document the result with photographs before and after.

06

Written offers that hold

Quotes are written, itemized by category, and hold for thirty days. If your process needs a formal bid document, a W-9, a certificate of insurance naming your entity, or a purchase order reference on the offer, say so and it is on the paperwork.

05

How equipment is valued

Condition, generation and demand drive the number, in that order. A modular UPS with its power modules in place is worth several times the same frame stripped of modules. A generator with documented low hours and recent load bank results beats an identical unit with no paperwork. Chillers from the last decade with intact controls resell into service; older units with obsolete refrigerant price closer to recovery value.

IT is the most time-sensitive category. Server platforms have a value curve that falls steeply once the generation is two or three cycles old, which means a hall you retire this quarter is worth materially more than the same hall sitting in a storage cage for eighteen months. If a decommissioning is coming, the earliest useful conversation is the most valuable one.

We publish the reasoning rather than hiding it because informed sellers are easier to work with. Read the detail on our equipment value page, then send a list and we will tell you where your specific assets land.

Major metros

We work nationally, and these are the markets where we have the most routing density — which usually translates into faster mobilization and a better number:

Frequently asked questions

Who buys data center equipment?
Direct buyers like us, brokers who resell to those buyers, ITAD firms focused on IT hardware, and scrap processors focused on material. The distinction that matters is whether the company quoting you can fund the purchase and perform the removal itself, because that determines whether the number holds.
Do you buy equipment that is still installed and running?
Most of what we buy is still installed when we first see it. We coordinate the outage, de-energize, disconnect and remove. On live facilities we phase the work so critical load never depends on equipment we are pulling that night.
What documentation do we receive?
A signed purchase agreement itemizing every asset and its price, a certificate of insurance naming your entity, W-9, serialized drive destruction certificates where drives are in scope, refrigerant recovery documentation, and weight tickets or a bill of lading for each load.
How quickly can you quote?
Same business day in nearly all cases once we have an asset list or photographs. Large multi-hall projects with phased shutdowns sometimes need a site walk before we finalize, which we schedule within a few days.
Do you charge for removal?
Removal cost is inside the offer rather than billed separately. On most projects equipment value exceeds removal cost and you receive a payment. On heavily stripped or very old rooms the reverse can be true, and we tell you that up front rather than mid-project.

Send the list. Get a written number.

Same business day, itemized, with the removal scope stated.

Request a Written Offer

Send the asset list, or just tell us roughly what is in the room. We come back the same business day with a written, itemized offer.
